SOLVED Package for winzip - uninstall & install

I am creating 2 package for installing & uninstalling winzip from our machines


Created successfully in that . Now I have a small additional task , Licensing , I have a file with extension mul , after installing we need to click this file in order to get license activation . can we add this task to package also . Appreciates & thanks in advance if you can support or guide me on this

Hi Arun,

You have to contact Technical owner of the application or support vendor for product licence and once stackholder of that application provide you liecnec key you have to test again in your testing envrionment with proper test cases.

@Arunraj R L - Good question. Deploying the Winzip software via SCCM is easy as it has .msi download option. But to deploy the license file we have to do it via script. WinZip.wzmul registration file which must be copied to a WinZip subfolder in the Windows Common AppData folder. This folder contains application data for all users. The typical path for the WinZip.wzmul file is C:\ProgramData\WinZip. If the correct WinZip.wzmul is present in this folder and if the proper version of WinZip is installed, WinZip will open as a licensed, registered version.
