PENDING MECM Update to 2203 is stuck

The update is in installating state (which means that the CMUpdateReset Tool cannot be used. The Central Admin server complete the 'Check Site Readiness' and the 'Check Service Window' steps and then the two Site servers started the 'Check Site Readiness' steps but have been unable to move forward from there. Checked the CMUpdate.log and the hman.log for progress but outside of a retry every 600 seconds and every 3600 seconds i do not see any indication of further movement. The SMS_Executive and the Configuration Manager Service Manager have been restarted. Still no go. Checked the DB for packages with error status (select * from CM_UpdatePackages), no packages with errors found.

Not sure what else to attempt to get the installation to stop so that it can be re-tried or to allow it to resume so that it can finish.
 
Since you have a CAS, you really should contact MS support directly. There are not many people who have over 150,000 computers.
