Hello everyone,
I am using a new MECM environment. The SUP runs on a different server than the MECM. SUP has Windows Server 2022 with WSUS and WID.
I have already rejected various updates in MECM, but I still see the updates as metadata. I have done everything according to this documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-en/t...gmgr/update-management/wsus-maintenance-guide
I started the cleanup on WSUS itself, ran the indexing script via SMSS, and also adjusted the permissions for SUSDB and entered the MECM users there and authorized them for SUSDB. Nevertheless, the synchronization seems to hang at the point where MECM wants to connect to SUSDB.
When I run the MECM synchronization, I get this error message (see image)
"Indexing Failed. Could not connect to SUSDB. SqlException thrown while connecting to SUSDB in Server: tfmmecmsup.tfm.thlv.de. Error Message: Network-related or instance-specific error connecting to SQL Server. The server was not found or cannot be accessed. Check that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server allows remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open connection to SQL Server)."
I have assigned permissions as shown in the images and as the Server Admin role. The MECM computer account and the MECM Admin are in the MECM.Administrator group.
Have a nice day
