MECM 2111 Distribution Point​

MECM 2111. The OS drive on one of our distribution points failed and could not be restored. The data drive with the content library survived. My question is would it be possible to attach the old data drive to a new server? In this scenario, when we add the DP role to the new server would it recognize the existing content library?

If this is a remote DP, you can set up a new server, install the DP role and make it available to clients quickly. I think that is easier than what you are trying to achieve.
