SOLVED IE Update KB3058515 is failing

Hi Guys,

I am getting below mentioned error for installing IE 11 updates which was released on June 2015 on users machines.



Error Code: 0x80092004 (Cannot find object or property)

Can you please provide the solution for this issue.

Hi, is this update failing on multiple computers ?. How are you installing this update ? - Via SCCM / Manual install ?

this update is failing on multiple computers and it is getting installed via SCCM.

I have tested this update deployment in my test lab and it worked fine. Could you check and update if this is still an issue ?.

@Chandan : You can refer the below log file also
IE11_main.log file in the \Windows folder.

IE11 requires a restart then only it will work.. but IE 11 have some security issues on patch, so you have to check security setting for IE 11.

use this command to fix security issue and then restart the systems and try to clean uninstall and re-install IE 11 on 1-2 test machine and then verify the updates...

open in command prompt SC CONFIG TrustedInstaller start= auto
