Hello,

I'm trying to deploy a Windows 7 task sequence to a VM. After it downloads the files, it says "Windows is starting up..." and "Preparing network connections..." then hangs on a blank SCCM screen then reboots.

I have tried adding the VM Network Drivers to the boot image but no avail.

Do i need to add Storage ? Also in TS i select my OS as 2:2 .

smsts.log

X:\sms\data\Winpe does not exist
X:\_smstswinpe\winpe does not exit

When you are deploying OS to a VM, you need not add the drivers. It's not required. What OS image are you using ?. Yes, i recommend that you select OS as 2:2. I have read in many articles that setting up as 2:2 has fixed OSD issues. Could you send a screenshot of the TS ?.
You SMSTS.log file should reveal why this issue is occurring. http://prajwaldesai.com/location-of-smsts-log-during-sccm-osd/

HI,

I'm trying to deploy Windows 7 64 bit .

i have noticed that when i create New VM and add to device collection , this VM will not appear . So i just go to device and also try to add but this took longer to appear..

When i capture the Win7.WIM file , i have add the 10GB second HDD to VM and captured not to the network location?

When you import a computer entry to collection it will take some time. Is this a collection created without any query. Right click on the collection and click update membership. Did you find the SMSTS.log file ?
