Hi
Several of our Lenovo Notebooks are in need of new drivers, Bios and Firmwares since the old ones are old...
I could manage the Bios including detection. The firmwares are installing without detection.
The driver part is not yet solved:
My first driver import-test had an impact on the TS since new drivers were installed first and finally the old ones -> after I disabled the old drivers in the driver package, it works again.
I could though copy the new driver package to some other place to create a packge in order to install them with PnpUtil.

When I import drivers there are 4 different ways to do it. They seem self explaining but actually, they're not really as I found out.

What is a good approach to update drivers on existing computers as well as "update" the drivers in the TS?
How do you mangage?

Thanks
Susanne

If you are using Lenovo devices you can use the third party update catalog from Lenovo. You can deploy driver updates and BIOS updates as Software Update to your existing clients. For new clients I create a new driver package every once in a while if there are to many updates that need to be installed on a new device.
I don't know if this is applicable for you. In my opinion it is okay to have outdated after the task sequence finished as long as they are updated soon after.
