Hi @all,
I am trying to get a Feature Update for my Windows 10 Clients 1803 to 21H running. Here is what I did:
1. I've choosen the Update from Software-Library -> Windows 10 Servicing -> All Windows 10 Updates
2. Downloaded the update to a deployment package and deployed it to a test group
The update shows up on the client and seems to download it. After a while it fails with the error code 0x80246002. Running get-windowsupdatelog in a powershell shows that the hash values did not match.

I have only one DP, one Site (Build No. 9040). I've tried to repair the SCCM-client (ccmrepair), re-created/deployed the package, cleaned up the ccmcache-folder, but nothing helps. Does somebody have an advice what else I can try?

Thanks,
DMarco

Hi Marco,

first of all Feature Upgrade from 1803 to 21h1 is not Supported and shouldn‘t working.

You can make a In-Place Upgrade Task Sequence with an iso File.

Thats the way we have done the Upgrade from 1909 to 20H2. And after that we made the Update from 20h2 to 21h1 with Activation Package.

Kind regards,

Dayst

Hi Dayst,
thank you very much for your answer. Since now I only used task seqences for OS deployment.

I thought all Feature Updates were cumulative. Do you know if there is any feature update I can use with the "usual" update mechanism? For example from 1803 to 1909 / from 1803 to 1903?

Kind regards,
Marco
