My secret for my CMG app registration is about to expire and I cannot seem to renew it from the SCCM console.
When I hit renew secret key I am immediately give the message "Failed to renew the secret key for Microsoft Entra ID server application. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: collection"

It does not even pop up with a sign in Window to authenticate to Entra.
This is happening on Consoles installed on multiple computers/servers.

Is there another way to renew this key? Or has anybody seen this error and knows a fix? I can't seem to find any cases of someone else having this error pop up.

Solution
Surprisingly I had a Microsoft support ticket actually resolve my issue.
For anybody who might see this rare issue in the future - the problem was my Cloud Attach.
In Administration/Cloud Services/Cloud Attach/ coMgmtSettingsProd would crash the SCCM console when I tried to open the Properties and even when I tried to delete it.
I had to delete the cloud attach via PowerShell.
Code:
gwmi -ns root\sms\site_<SiteCode> -class SMS_ConfigurationPolicy | ? CategoryInstance_UniqueIDs -eq "SettingsAndPolicy:SMS_CoManagementSettings" | remove-wmiobject

Then I had to setup a new Cloud Attach and the Secret would finally renew normally.
I haven't encountered this specific "collection-related issue" before, though I have handled other secret key renewal errors. Could you confirm whether the app registration is still active and if you're using an account with Azure global admin privileges for the renewal?

Solution
But in your initial question you never mentioned the console crashing :) Anyway, glad to hear that your issue is resolved, and thanks for posting the solution.

I did not because I didn't think it had anything to do with it haha!
That was an issue from before I even (re)created this CMG and I gave up on trying to fix it. Turns out it was directly related :).
