Hi,

My SCCM server (2309) ccmexec keep crash and the MP does not work anymore, even I reinstall the MP the MP still crash.
MCM can use backup/restore to recovery. However, the problem happened a period already, my backup doesn't have a restore point which the MCM server is health status.
So any way can export existing setting (include site code), then I setup a new SCCM server and import all of these setting so client can reconnect again?

Thanks

no you can't export the setting as you suggest. You can do a backup and recovery. You should never reuse site codes. I would look at the crash details to determine why it is crashing.

Hi Garth,

The SMS Agent Host services (ccmexec) will keep terminate and stop. Although it will start automatically, it will stop again.
The MP will occur an event id 5436 HTTP error per hour, and the "http://sccmserver/.sms_aut?mplist" will return 500 error.

I also tried to uninstall the sccm client agent, then remove and install the MP again. But the problem still exist.

Did you remove MP, remove the Client, remote IIS, reboot and add everything back again?

I didn’t remove IIS because this server also is WSUS server. I just tried to remove MP, client and antivirus, then reboot and install the MP again

This is a tricky issue that needs investigation to find out why the executable is crashing. Before you blindly remove and install roles from the server, contact Microsoft support.

I contact MS support and the case escalate to Support Escalate Engineer already. But seems they still no idea why the ccmexec crash and can’t solve the issue. So I want to get more advise from here and need to consider other workaround

if you are working with ms support then you should not looking for outside help as it will likely increase the time to fix the problem...
