Hello,
I have been finding lately on some of the model Dell models when i create a new driver package some of the drivers fail when creating a new driver package. It will show some of the driver that couldn't be imported however it still creates the package. When i distribute them to the distribution point and create a task sequence and add the driver package the system that i am trying to deploy the Task Sequence too keeps saying at the windows screen Waiting and it can be there for hours or days. Sometimes if i add a docking station or a usb nic it will work other times it won't. Which normally points to a ethernet driver.
I currently have a dell latitude 5310 that is experiencing these issues however when I checked the logs it was pointing to upgrading the BIOS I tired that and it didn't work so I tried plugging it back into the docking station and it worked to get the OS on but it didnt load all software and device drivers. This is Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2.
I have seen this several times in the last 6 months and it don't happen on all models. The organization i work with we mainly use dell desktops and laptops.
The current version of Configuration Manager is 2303 Console Version is 5.2303.1089.1000 Site Version 5.0.9106.1000. I will be in the process of updating the current version and just wondering by upgrading would it fix these issues or would it be something else i could check.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig
