Hi guys,

I am installing SCCM 2012 on Lab environment. I installed the DC 2012, and the SQL2012 and SCCM2012 on different server.

Now, when I try to add operating system image using Operating System Installer , on the first window where I suppose to add the source path, I got this error message " The specified path does not contain a valid operating system or you do not have permission to access it. Specify a valid path."

I read on many sites that I need to uninstall WADK 8.1 and restart the server and install it again, unfortunately the same problem remains.

Many thanks for your support

I extracted the ISO files into the shared folder then from the SCCM server inside the VM, I copied the folder into the resources folder.

can you send the screenshot of the folder that contains the OS files ?. I guess you are not providing the correct path.

This could be an issue with the OS file. Download the OS again and extract it to a folder. It should work fine. If you have downloaded the ISO file from MSDN you can perform a hash check and see if its the same after download.

Also, I tried with windows 8, and I got the same error.
When I performed a hash check, same ok
seems something related to the SCCM not to the windows image or files
