Hello Prajwal,

I hope you are doing good, iam having following error whenever i connect to another computer using remote client viewer:

![LOG[Unable to open namespace \\syb-sccm-01.xxxxxxxx\
root\sms.
The RPC server is unavailable. (Error: 800706BA; Source: Windows)]LOG]!><time="18:09:50.708-300" date="01-30-2016" component="CmRcViewer" context="" type="3" thread="5176" file="provider.cpp:172">

I have check RPC services DCOM services they are all set to Automatic and started.I have also stopped WMI service and delete the repository and restarted the server but with no luck iam still getting this error

Though i can take remote control of the listed computers from my site server management console.

Your insight will be highly appreciated.

Okay, so are you running the cmrcviewer tool from the folder where the admin console is installed ?. Is that correct ?.

Yes i have installed cmrcviewer from my sccm installation setup files i.e D:\sccm installations\SCCM\MU_SYSTEM_CENTER_2012_R2_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER_X86_AND_X64_DVD_2926949\SMSSETUP\BIN\I386

Correction :
iam running viewer from => C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminConsole\bin\i386\cmrcviewer

Have you checked the CMRcViewer.log in the %temp% Folder on the Computer running the remote Control ? If its failing to remote the machine with host name, try using the IP address and let me know what's the error.

yes i have tried using IP address of my site server, logs are telling me the error which i shared with you on my previous reply:

"![LOG[Unable to open namespace \\syb-sccm-01.xxxxxxxx\root\sms.
The RPC server is unavailable. (Error: 800706BA; Source: Windows)]LOG]!><time="18:09:50.708-300" date="01-30-2016" component="CmRcViewer" context="" type="3" thread="5176" file="provider.cpp:172">"

Error: 800706BA - Something is blocking the remote connection. Are you sure you have opened the required ports on firewall ?.

I have allowed all the remote assistance ports on my site server(predefined firewall policies mentioned for remote assistance).i-e 135,1304,4022,1433 and all the related to File printer sharing plus remote assistance..

For further information i have also tried by disabling firewall completely, issue still persist.

it is happening from all the computers,i have tried through windows 7,10 iam getting the same error, currently we dont have any anti virus installed.

I have tested wmi communication by running wbemtest it also states RPC server is unavailable..although i have given sccmadmin full rights on WMI.

Today i observed strange behavior i recently edited a group policy computer configuration>Administrative templates>Network>Network Connections>Windows Firewall>Domain.

Allow inbound remote administration : Enabled
Allow inbound remote desktop connection : Enabled

I also edited Allow all unsolicited incoming message to "*" which resolved my RPC server error.

Now iam getting following error in cmrcviewer on all the computers accept my sccm site server,i can take remote of my site server from any computer after enabling above policy.

<![LOG[Failed to connect to address [192.168.X.X:2701].
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. (Error: 8007274D; Source: Windows)]LOG]!><time="12:22:23.539-300" date="02-10-2016" component="CmRcViewer" context="" type="3" thread="4364" file="viewer.cpp:2492">
<![LOG[Address Lookup failed for the target host: 192.168.X.X.
No such host is known. (Error: 80072AF9; Source: Windows)]LOG]!><time="12:22:23.929-300" date="02-10-2016" component="CmRcViewer" context="" type="3" thread="4364" file="viewer.cpp:2441">

Can you run rsop.msc on the client machine and see what other GPO's have been applied ?. As i mentioned earlier there is something blocking the remote access.
