Hello,
I have a strange problem with my newly created Distribution Point.
I wanted to use them for low bandwidth sites and therefore I want them to always respond to PXE requests. This worked fine so far, the bootimage is taken from the DP and not from the Siteserver.
Unfortunately after the bootimage, only the Software is installed via the DP, the Windows Image or the Drivers are taken from the Site Server.
If I remove the primary Site Server from the Boundary Group with the DP, the OS will be deployed through the DP but the TS is stuck at the Driver installation and calls out, that there is no content. (which could not be, see below)
The packages are deployed correctly an have no errors displayed. I already removed the Driver Package from the DP and redeployed it, but that doesnt resolve the issue.
I could live with pulling the Drivers from the primary Site Server if only the OS Deployment could be done via the DP, but that does not work when the primary Site Server is within the Boundary, only if I remove it.
Unfortunately I could not find anything on Google, which suits my problem and i couldn't find any news to protected DPs on ConfigMgr2006. So now I'm stuck and this forums are my only hope.
Hope my problem is understandable and there is a solution.
