Team, we currently performing a deployment of Office 2016 and an inplace upgrade to 1909 from (1803 - windows 10)
We currently have 300-400 staff at out main office and it doesn't appear our single DP is coping very well, the question has been put to us, can we stand up another DP and run it some sort of active/active or load balancing configuration, so when the load on the current DP is maxed out, it will point clients to the 2nd DP onsite? Is this possible, or what options should we be looking at.

Thanks in advance.

You can add another DP, create a new boundary by splitting the IP range and assigning the new DP to it.

For example :-

DP1 - 192.168.100.1 - 192.168.100.128
DP2 - 192.168.100.129 - 192.168.100.254
