SOLVED Distribution Point GetDPLocations failed with error 0x80072efd

how are you doing ?

i have installed new sccm 1511 , and installed below below site roles on same server machine
1) DP
2)MP
3)SUP

but could not install sccm agent in client machine using client push installation or manual

its give me GetDPLocations failed with error 0x80072efd
0x80072efd - A connection with the server could not be established

i tried to reinstall DP and MP, in log files MP status was success
but DP status says No DMP found

how to solve this issue and also can i install Disribution point on sccm server right ?

i reinstalled MP and DP then redeploy the client again, it works for me

Yes you can install the DP role on the SCCM server. We could have checked the log files and done further troubleshooting. But since you have already fixed it, I am marking this thread as Solved.
