SOLVED Distribution Manager is waiting for the content

Hello,

I have a problem with a new installation of ConfigMgr, I have installed the 2103 version. I have only one site.

When I want to distribute applications, OS or even the ConfigMgr client package nothing happens and when I check the status I get the following message: "The Distribution Manager is waiting for the content of the EXP0003 package to be prepared on the distribution point [...] You must manually predefine the package on the distribution point for the content to be available".


I tried to search for similar errors and found nothing. Do you have a solution to my problem? What log file may contain information to help me?

Is the DP enabled for prestaged content (Check General tab under DP settings)

Hello,

Sorry for the late return,

I checked if the option was checked on the DP and it was checked.

On the package to deploy I had to go in the parameters and check the distribution on demand.

However I find myself with a new problem, when choosing the sequence of tasks, I have the right to an error at first sight to the time of the PC that does not correspond to the server. However I carry out my tests on a virtual machine on my Hyper-V cluster. I will look on Monday by testing with a real PC to see if the problem is also present.

Hello,

I come to make a return:

I have just successfully deployed the task sequence, however I have two problems:

- During the attempt to join the domain :

I have the right during the execution of the task to the error: 0x00000032

- When installing an application via the sequence of tasks :

I get the following error when I select the task sequence: Task Sequence cannot be run because the program files for <ID APPS> cannot be located on distribution point for all packages even newly created ones

While the application is well deployed and distributed on the right DP.

I continue my tests and will keep you informed of the progress in the next few days.

My application deployment problem is progressing:

- I no longer have an error when choosing the sequence of tasks. However, once the sequence of tasks is completed, the application is not deployed. So I retrieved the SMSTS.log file to see the errors, here it is:

I am back,

For the applications the problem is fixed I had the error 0x87d00269. I followed the article indicating to add the FQDN of the site in the TS and it works however I still can't integrate the machine in the domain.

I attach the SMSTS log of the last TS test.


I see the error :

The step (Joindre le domaine ou le groupe de travail) must be running in full OS
and
Failed to run the action: Joindre le domaine ou le groupe de travail. Error 0x80070032

So I did my research and my mistake is that the Add Domain action was misplaced, the OS was not yet fully configured before making the domain join request.

So I put the subject in Resolved
