SOLVED Distribution Manager failed to connect to the distribution point

Hi Prajwal,

I have been getting error "Distribution Manager failed to connect to the distribution point ["DISPLAY=\\JTSDHR1SCM.JTEKTINDIA.INT\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=SC1"]\\JTSDHR1SCM.JTEKTINDIA.INT\. Check your network and firewall settings." on one DP in sccm

"Check your network and firewall settings"

The error message is clear, you need to check your Network and Firewall settings, try to disable the Windows Firewall.

If you have any Firewall between the Site Server and the DP, check the following ports:

From Site Server ==> DP : ports: 80,443,445, 135 TCP&UDP​

If the problem persist, check distmgr.log file located on the Site Server in "SCCM Install directory\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs"

This issue has been resolved now after installing iis 6 wmi compatibility service on DP server.
