PENDING Deploy updates using search criteria

with search criteria i have selected updates and created a SUG- say TEST-SUG, i have right click this TEST-SUG- choose download- i have selected existing deployment package which i have created using ADR. Do i need to redistribute the Content Location of this deployment package ( i.e redistribute distribution point and distribution point groups )or if i right click deployment package and update distribution points is it enough and next if i just assign the TEST-SUG to my collection will it work or anything else do i need to do
or
Using search criteria i will select updates create SUG and just deploy to collection will it work. please guide me.

If you have distributed the package earlier to the DP's and if there is no changes done to the package, you are ready for deployment.

You select the Updates and add it to SUG. In the next step you deploy the updates to the correct collection. Where exactly are you getting confused with software updates deployment.
