hello, I am new to sccm and I have to deploy to 400 HP computers a task secuence to platform the computers with the operating system and applications.

I have some questions that I hope someone can answer.

1. I would like to control which computers receive the deployment, that is to say that only those 400 computers receive the tasksecuence. I am not sure if this is possible. Since these computers are obviously not in domain, have nothing installed or operating system or client, which also do not appear in the SCCM console. I understand that they will appear in unknown computers, together with some other computer.

2. Is it possible to launch to unknown computers, but applying some filter by MAC? In addition to putting a password to the task sequence.

3. Can you launch several task sequences with different images and at startup choose the appropriate one according to your needs? for example if a team is a lab team I choose one, if it is a hr team I choose another one.

Anyway any advice you could give me would be appreciated as I say I'm new and I have no idea.

Thanks

yes you can create many task sequences and deploy them to the Unknown Computers collection as AVAILABLE. This way you will be able to choose the TS you want

can you tell me how to do it? So that I can choose the TS that is right for me depending on the equipment to platform?

Yes, in your assets node click on your 'Unknown Computers' collection, at the bottom of the screen look at the deployments tab. If any of the Task Sequences deployed have Purpose=Required then remove them as this will not allow you to see the Available TS's. Then redeploy your TS's as Available to that collection and you should be good to go.
