Hi all,

I am trying to install a distribution point on a server in a child domain but getting the following error:

Distribution Manager does not have sufficient rights to the computer. Solution: Verify that the site server computer account is an administrator on the distribution point computer.

Network Setup
SCCM server location in Data Centre on DOMAIN1. Remote server, located in remote location via MPLS Link is on DOMAIN2

I added the Remote server as a site computer and added the Distribution Point role and it failed with the above error.

I then added the SCCM server to the local Administrators group of the Remote Server and it still failed.

I have pushed the Distribution Point config to the server with both "Use the site servers computer account to install this site system" and also specified a DOMAIN Admin user from DOMAIN2 and still the same error.

The Remote Server starts to configure the DP as the SMS folder gets created on the server with the log files in in.

I added IIS Manually as the automated install was no configuring ISS

I have not added it as a Pull Distribution Point

No PXE

Enabled Multicast

Added the remote sites BOundry Group - I assume i do not need to add the SCCM servers boundary group as well?

The wizard never fails

I have also run the command to parse smsdpprov.mof
