SOLVED Customize Start Menu and Taskbar for Windows 11

Having trouble customizing Start menu for Windows 11 OS version 22H2. Theres articles with .json and start.bin files which are confusing. Can someone assist with the proper steps to customize the Start menu pinning appropriate apps and moving task bar to the left side and then capturing this layout and incorporating this into the Windows 11 OSD build.

You'll need to use the scripts in some cases because not all settings are available via GPO or Settings catalog in Intune. May I know what method are you planning to use to customize these settings?.

Hi Prajwal,

I fixed this by setting the Start menu how I wanted and pinning all apps to the Start menu then exporting the .bin file and scripting the copy of the .bin file to Default profile Start menu - this was added as a task sequence and is done during the build. Our Endpoint Manager (SCCM) is on prem, we dont have INTUNE.
