SOLVED Could not install a distribution point - SCCM 1802

HI,

I am trying to install a new DP and I am receiving the below error:
CWmi::Connect() failed to connect to \\["Display=\\ISCUAQ-SCCMDP.UAQDC01.NET\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=001"]\\ISCUAQ-SCCMDP.UAQDC01.NET\\root\CIMv2. Error = 0x80010002 SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER 10/13/2018 7:42:35 AM 224 (0x00E0)
DPConnection::ConnectWMI() - Failed to connect to ISCUAQ-SCCMDP.UAQDC01.NET. SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER 10/13/2018 7:42:35 AM 224 (0x00E0)

noting that all firewall ports are open between primary server and site system server , the site system server computer is local admin on the DP , i am using a local admin asccount on DP for installation , all IIIS are installed , i tried to install the WMI namespace as well manually using cmd , i also tried to grant local service and network service the enable remote on wmi control seetings on aspnet and unofrutnately all this with no luck and the distribution point is failing to be installed

more, installed on the same server MP and software up point roles and working like a charm except the DP Role which is stucking till now

0x80010002 = Call was canceled by the message filter.

So it looks like the OS, AV software or something is filtering the request.

Hello , thanks.for your reply. I retried with a clean OS ,no.AV installedand still facing the issue.

Please note that the remote DP is at anothe site and in an untrusted forest domain. So conditional forwaders exists and resolving is working.

Any help ?

What about firewalls between the two computers?

Have you tried to remotely connect to WMI from your computer to \\ISCUAQ-SCCMDP.UAQDC01.NET\\root\CIMv2 ?

I tried to connect to WMi from my primary server to the distribution point it gives me access denied with error number error = 0x80070005.

Firewall open both way with ports 135,445 ,443 , RPC dynamic ports.

So i am not able to identify where the issue?

Make sure that you connect use the account that should have access to that server. aka the same one you have listed for the site role.

I am using a user that is local admin on the server. The remote distribution point is in an untrusted domain. Noting that i already instaled 10 remote DP with no issues i have only 3 sites with this issue. Do you believe it is a firewall or network issue ? Or it is an access issue ?

It is hard to say with the issue issue as firewall/network issue will sometime give a access denied message.

Yes but the management point role and the software's update point installed successfully but the DP role only is stucking with the error

ok. Are you sure that they are installed correctly?

There isn't a lot more I can do to help. You are getting access denied when you manually test the connection to WMI. and you are getting a Filtering message within the logs. You need to work out why your are getting those errors.
