Hello, how do you handle this issue: OSD task sequence completes the last step of installing applicatons and the oobe finishes. Now we just need the computer to do hardware inventory and join collections we have set up with queries based on the hardware inventory collected. One of these collections that will be automatically joined is a collection with power policy, but until that happens, the computer returns to MS defaults. On laptops this causes sleep in five minutes which is not long enough for inventory to complete and desktops often do not join their collections before going to sleep either. The result is we have to babysit or wait for someone to use the computer long enough before the computer shows up in the collections it belongs in.
I thought including a powercfg command at the end of application deployment might do it, but pretty sure that is still in the sequence and the computer will return to defaults after the sequence ends and so the command would be ineffective. I haven't tested that yet though.
Has anyone else solved this? If so, what did you do?
