Hey Guys,

Wanting to do a bit of a cleanup. We've got over 100 DPs and loads of content distributed. Some of the DPs are starting to struggle for space and I'm thinking we need to clean out some old applications, packages etc. as there must be plenty that are neither deployed nor in a task sequence anywhere but has been left distributed. There could also be stuff that is deployed but clearly hasn't been used in a long, long time that we could look at retiring.

Anyone know any good methods to identify content that appears not to be required? Must be a script or something floating around?

Thanks

Joni

You can retire the applications and packages that are not required. Or probably delete them from the console. If you know the applications that aren't deployed to any collections, they may not be required. Old application versions can always be deleted when you know the latest one is working fine. After you do all this, you can run the content library clean up tool on a remote DP and see how much disk it saves. Enabling De-dup on DP also helps save space.
