Hello,

I'd like to thank prajwaldesai.com without whom I couldn't have set up our SCCM server !

However i'm facing a complaining problem from users regarding the Patch tuesday automatic rule deployment... some computers hang at Updates configuration 30% and some not...

I do realise that SCCM updates get deployed in queue, meaning if I set up the updates on a specific time frame, doesn't mean it gets respected... but I still want to ask you if I can specify the time frame during which computers may restart for configuring updates? (after work hours that is). so that all computers in queue can receive and install updates whenever, but only restart for configuring updates every day at a specific time frame?

Or if there's another workaround i'm missing?

Thank you for your king assistance

You don't have to restart the computer before deploying the updates. If you have set a specific time frame for deployment, the update process should begin.

some computers hang at Updates configuration 30% - When you say 30% Is this during download of updates or during the updates get installed and boot at 30% ?
