Hello,
Can you please help me?
My PXE boot works fine with VMs; however, when it comes to a physical machine, the PXE boot works but does not display my task sequence.

My configuration is in laboratory under vmvare.
1st server: DC, DNS, DHCP
2nd server: SCCM CB 1802, SQL server, WSUS, WDS
Hardware: TP Link AC1200 Router

Sorry for my English, I'm French.

Can you elaborate more on what happens you PXE boot desktop machines ?. Do you see boot image loading ?.

Hello,
I see the boot image load completely, and after that I just have my background image. the computer stays at this stage for a long time without showing me the task sequence and ended up rebooting.
I specify that the boot image includes the drivers of the network cards and the distribution points are up to date.
all network cards are in bridge mode

Thank you in advance for your assistance

The physical machine boots from PXE and starts loading WinPE. I see my custom WinPE SCCM background image with a window ‘Windows is starting up‘ after that I briefly see message ‘Preparing network connection‘. The message disappears and I only see my custom WinPE SCCM background image, and then system reboot

I specify that the boot image includes the drivers of the network cards and the distribution points are up to date.
all network cards are in bridge mode
If this is all under Vmware infra, may i know what drivers have you added to boot image ?.

Hello,
The problem is solved.
I had added the drivers of the different network cards vmxnet3, Realtek Semiconductor RTL8168 / 8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adapter and forgot to update my distribution point.
Thank you

everytime you purchase a new computer model, you would need to add the network driver to your boot image. if you are deploying multiple OS, then you would need both drivers for Windows 8 and Windows 10. Most of the time they can use the same driver.
