SOLVED Application package content changes not being reflected on DP

Hi,

This is really getting frustrating.

I am trying to deploy Office 2016 (currently in testing phase) and I am getting into a bind getting it to install silently.

The package itself runs completely fine and installs, but I realized when creating the package, I forgot to put the MSP in the updates folder. The commandline is just setup.exe, which works perfectly if the MSP is in that folder.

I have corrected my mistake and now the source folder is correct. But when clients download the software, either via the software center or task sequence, it wont download the MSP file I added after the fact?

So the installer starts and pops up for user interaction. If I cancel it, copy the MSP into the CCMCACHE and rerun it, it installs (So I know the package is fine.)

I have tried validating the package, redistributing the package, removing it completely and redistributing it, making other changes to the Application to cause a revision increment...

It just wont update the files I have added to the DP!

I could just recreate the whole application, but that doesn't solve the issue. It just circumvents it and I would really like to figure out why source file changes aren't being reflected.

Thanks in advance

Did you try creating new package for the same office and tried deploying it ?. Don't try it on the same client, deploy it to a different client machine.

No i haven't tried that yet. I am pretty sure that will work though.

But my thought was if I change the source files and redistribute to the DP, that should reflect the changes I have made? Is that not the case?

Ok, so I couldnt get the current deployment type to change. So deleted it and recreated it, with exactly the same settings and it is now working, pulling down the updated files.

Surely that is not working as intended, but this has solved the problem.
