Hi there,

We have an application from SAGE (Data EXCHANGE) application that we want to deploy to certain machines, that bit is ok we know how to do that the next part i am not so sure about. Once the application is installed it has to run as local administrator in order to open, i do not want the end user to be able to do anything apart from double click on the application for it to open. Can you please let me know the best way for the end user to open this application without having to be prompted for Local Admin access. Sage have informed us this needs to run this way.

Thank you in advance.
David

Perhaps, when starting the application it writes something to the register or application folder in program files? First you could try to change the permissions on the application folder in program files. Giving the users modify permission. We use emco msi packages to check what happens when first starting an application that does this. Creating a capture when opening the application then it will be recorded what the applications does..Then you perhaps can check how to fix this. Maybe some files have to be added somewhere to prevent the uac prompt for normal users.
