SOLVED All Systems collection updates

Good afternoon,

I hope someone can shed some light on an issue we are having on our SCCM configuration. We current have the "All Systems" collection updating on a nightly basis. Yet it says it should be doing incremental search every 5mins. It seems it is not running through this any only updating on a nightly basis. We are unable to modify this and am looking for some guidance to determine if this is normal or how i should get it to run through the incremental. Is this normal procedure or is it that this particular collection should update. I can see that all others in some format are referencing this one follow the normal process when a parent collection is updated so are those. Where does this collection determine when to run it's incremental update. Any guidance is appreciated. I can't find anything related to this.

Can you just clarify the request ? Do you want to add the machines or discovery of machines ?

Well I assumed much like the rest of the collections that the " All systems" collection which I am assuming is the first would follow the same guidelines and update every so often. So my question how is an incremental update triggered for that collection being the top level collection. Is this based on the discovery mode and would I have have my discovery method run more often in order for this collection to kick off an incremental update. I hope this clarifies.

You wanted to know about incremental update ? .well System Center Configuration Manager 2012 brought the possibility for a collection to refresh its members using Incremental Update. It means that the collection will periodically evaluate new resources only, and does not execute a Full Update Membership. default value is 5min . If you want to change this , follow as below. When you enable the Use incremental updates for this collection option, this configuration might cause evaluation delays when you enable it for many collections.

that is where it gets tricky. The "all systems" collection I have is not following that norm. All others are. So is my system broken or does this specific collection work differently. Sorry for the confusion. The setting is currently correct as every other collection I have does follow the setting. The only collection not doing it is the "All Systems" collection. I hope i clarified my issue. This collection also does not allow me to modify any of these settings.

all systems should have incremental update . and i would suggest to remove the incremental update from other collections
