Hi All,

I recently noted that component SMS_DMP_DOWNLOADER has warning on the Primary site. I inspected the dmpdownloader logs and I found the error message as attached in this post. So far I tried to restart SMS_EXECUTIVE, restart entire server, reinstall Service Connection point and still no luck. I have attached the screenshots with updates installed.

Andy advice would be appreciated.

What are the impacts of this error? I still see that the manifest.cab is getting downloaded so any update should be detected, right?

It could be a firewall related issue as I see the content payload failed to download due to connection getting closed.

Hi there,

Do you have any good way of verifying that? I read the log again and I have two points to add:
  • the adminuicontent is downaldoed from: https://configmgrbits.azureedge.net/adminuicontent/ConfigMgr.AdminUIContent.cab. When I open browser I can navigate to that link and I can download the file. I dont know why would SCCM fail to do so.
  • I noted that this morning at 4:16am the download failed again however for some reason at 4:21am the the download thread for adminuicontent started again and it downloaded without issues from the same link as from the first point.
It seems sometimes it downloads it and sometimes it does not. Attached logs for reference.

Hello ,
Here is a same problem for update 2006. I have already tried to restart SMS_EXECUTIVE service. And checked network side. Have u any solution?sccm error.PNG

I don't have solution at the moment. I noticed that after the failure few minutes later the AdminUIcontent download thread will start again and it will manage to download it. However I still regularly also get instances where the download will fail.

I heard that 2010 is now out there. Maybe that update will change things.
As for the impact of this error I dont think it's big. For these reasons
1) The AdminUIcontent.cab file seems has only data that gets refreshed in the console such as Windows10 services status and those graphs found under Windows 10 servicing.
2) As I said above after the failure the download thread for this file restarts and it downloads it anyway. For now it's just looks like some minor error/bug.

However, let's wait and see what happens once we get 2010, if our consoles manage to detect it.
