To all the Windows 11 Insiders and IT Pros, here is some exciting news.
Microsoft has released Windows 11, version 25H2 (Build 26200.5074) in the Release Preview Channel for testing before general availability later in 2025.
The update is an enablement package, sharing features and enhancements with Windows 11, version 24H2, while removing features like PowerShell 2.0 and WMIC.
IT admins can now remove select pre-installed Microsoft Store apps via Group Policy/MDM CSP on Enterprise/EDU devices.
Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel can install the update through the "seeker" experience in Windows Update if their PC meets hardware requirements.
Commercial customers can validate Windows 11, version 25H2 on organizational PCs via Windows Update for Business (WUfB) or Windows Server Update Service (#WSUS); Azure Marketplace access is coming soon.
