Good afternoon everyone, how are you?

I'm new to SCCM and I need to update Windows 11 here in the environment to version 25H2. The computers have Windows 11 installed.

I would like to know two things:

First: I need to set a timeframe, that is, I need to put in the ticket the time I will take to prepare this update/upgrade. And after that, I will install it on the support computers for evaluation for a week (as requested by management).

Second: How do I do this? If you have a step-by-step guide, I would appreciate it. I already know where the update is; I just need to follow the next steps and know if it updates all versions of Windows 11 without risking formatting everything.

Thank you.

How have you been handling the previous upgrades for Windows 11?. And what is the current version of Windows 11 you're running. An upgrade can take some time to complete, and this can be determined by testing it on pilot devices.

Assuming the laptops are currently running 24H2, it is fairly simple to update to 25H2. You can find the update under "All Windows feature updates" in SCCM (Software Library) and create a deployment from there to your devices. It is a very small update that installs within a few minutes.

The latest version is: Windows 11, version 25H2 x64 2026-02.

If you have no experience with this at all, I would recommend doing some additional Googling or consulting AI for guidance.
