Hi to all

In some point it have to be asked. Is the any way to add any field to Configuration Manager ?

or

do I just use attribute field from AD?

thanks in advanced for any information

  • Natiguate to Administration / Hierarchy configuration / Discovery Method
  • Right click Active Directory System Discovery
  • Select the Active Directory Attributes tab
  • Enter or select your attribute from the Available Attributes list
  • If the wanted attribute is not listed, simply click the Custom button and enter it manually
  • Click Add
  • Ensure that your new attribute is listed in the Selected attribute list and click OK.

well, I was seeing adsysdis.log file and get this message:
WARN: Failed to get following optional attributes, description,

what else do I have to do?

Hi, I ran a repladmin command and finally check on DB from SCCM the information.

Thank you.

Like Manuel, I am also seeing the same warning in my adsysdis.log file:
WARN: Failed to get following optional attributes, description,

I had to add the attribute as a CUSTOM field. Is there any fix to this? We are currently on 1511

"Active Directory System Discovery" cant handle empty attributes. SCCM doesn't update the DDR attribute with a null value . You should add attribute first. After that you can use Criteria Tab to create criterion properties for collection.
