Hi fine community,

I'm struggeling for the past hours trying to find out why my CMG isn't receiving new packages.

Environment:
SCCM 2309 latest hotfix installed
Server 2019 across the board.

Analyzer no errors:

Secret key still valid
CMG Certificate got updated today just in case
Root cert still there
PkgXferMgr.log:

BranchCache service isn't running on the MP.

My search-fu on the internet came back pretty much empty.

Anyone else had this issue before or someone know how to fix this? Same packages distribute perfectly to other DP's.

Solution
We fixed the problem by adding the Microsoft usual AV exclusions.

So adding these folders for exclusion fixed it:

SCCMContentLib
SMSPKGD$
SMSSIG$
Microsoft Configuration Manager\Inboxes
Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs

You can see that even on DP's you'd get a failed copy from SCCMContentLib to SMSPKGD$ .

That made me suspecious that it wasn't SCCM but something blocking the copy/write..
Sometimes the issue isn't SCCM...

Worked for years without a problem. Suddenly our AV started blocking things without reporting it to the console.

Ticket opened with vendor...

Feel free to set to resolved.

Hi Azzy,

i have the same Problem, look at

Problem: Configuration Manager 2309 Hotfixrollup (KB25858444)

i think, maby sure is not an AV Problem... read in my Post what i have ready done...

Hi, just jumping on this one here. We just started having the exact same issue with our CMG today. Any package or application fails to distribute to it and we get the same error messages. Nothing has been changed on our side at all.

Hi Azzy, If the AV was not reporting the blocking in the console how have you found out it is that causing the issue?

Update: Removed Crowdstrike and packages and hotfix started working. Going back to previous version of crowdstrike 7.11.18110 also looks to have worked so update 7.12.18207.0 seems to be causing the issue.

So just to make sure I understand, you removed CrowdStrike, and were able to distribute to your CMG? Reinstalling a prior version also kept the issue away?
