Hi Prajwal

am trying to install sccm client on windows server using client push installation, but getting below error

Failed to open to WMI namespace '\\.\root\cimv2' - how to solve this issue

can you please advise asap

Hi @syed sameer - Can you access the admin share of that remote machine from SCCM server ?. The attachment that you uploaded is blur, can you upload the log file ?.

Hi Prajwal
I cannot access the log file, but I can give u errors as belows

1)Failed to open WMI namespace \\.\root\cimvs (80041002)
2)params to send 5.0.8325.1001Deployement error 0x80041002
3)A fallback status point has not been specified and no client was installed. Message with STATEID=301 will not be sent
4)ccmsetup failed with error code 0x80041002
5)reached 5 maximum failure retry count, will try again after machine restart

For sccm client agent to be installed, the setup files are copied over to ccmsetup folder located inside windows folder. If you cannot access admin share of that machine, it means there could be a problem in copying setup files. I think you need to start with rebuilding WMI repository by referring to this article.
