I think it's a WMI corruption issue. But did the client install at the end?

I'm willing to bet it is a boundary issue. e.g. they have not setup their environment correctly. Adn all they are looking at is the console and not the device itself and its logs.

back up, why do you think the agent didn't get installed? Did you look at the device and its logs?
