PENDING Force Software Updates Synchronization

Having installed WSUS for SCCM 2012 R2 I went on to configure Software Update Point role. Initial synchronization failed with an error Sync failed: WSUS update source not found on site XYZ ... Sync failed. Will retry in 60 minutes. I checked services and noticed that WSUS Service was disabled. I started service (set to be Automatic) and run Synchronize Software Updates again but nothing is logged in wsyncmgr and WCM logs and I noticed WSUS Service is not running again. Why is this happening and do I have to wait 60 minutes or there is some way of forcing synchronization?

Can you reinstall the WSUS and try again ?. Check the event viewer for any WSUS related errors.
