Hello everyone. I know this topic has been discussed here before and I've read the thread but it did not really help in my situation. This is why I post this problem here as well.
Before that a little background:
I just started in a new company about a week ago and since I'm the only one with experience in administering SCCM, the freshly setup SCCM has now become my child here. I just started doing Windows Updates and Defender Updates via SCCM (configuring WSUS, SUP, Deployment rules, packages, software update groups etc...)
I then noticed that no client that I put into the designated update collection would download anything into its ccmcache. I thought, maybe the client is broken for some reason. I then uninstalled the ccm client and reinstalled it. Then all over the sudden I noticed that all the features where only "installed", not "active" and also under the actions pane there is only the computer and user policy update option available. My colleagues tried reinstalling their ccm clients aswell and now have the same issue. Same goes for new clients that connect to sccm for the first time (they are not set up with a task sequence yet but by hand atm). Clients that already are in the sccm environment and havent been touched ever since have a normal client with all the actions available. The first thing that I wonder is, why is my client getting a PKI certificate and in the log files everything seems alright but it does not apply that certificate in ccm client eventhough from the log files everything looks fine...
I then searched the internet for these issues and found numerous attempts and logfiles to check for errors. The only Logfile that basically persists on showing errors is the MP_Policy.log
It keeps logging these errors every 5 seconds:
CHandlePolicyAssignmentRequest::Execute(): SendAssignmentsReply() failed
CPolicyManagerHandler::HandleMessage(): SetComplete(DISCARD) called.
Googling them does not help me. I have checked all the other logs, restarted services, etc. basically everything that those search results told me.
Right now I'm very close to giving up...
Maybe some clear thoughts of you guys would help to make up my mind since mine is compelety mushed already...
Thanks in advance.
Best
Niklas
