Hello,
I was hoping someone could help and point me in the right directions with an issue I have just starting running into.

Just out of no where I can no longer see a security group I created on AD when making a new device collection using the a query statement.
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.SecurityGroupName = "CURRIC\\Curric_SCCM_Software_VS2019_2024_Yr10"

When i navigate to Monitoring > Queries > All Active Directory Groups > I can see the security groups I have recently created.

Can someone point me in a direction to troubleshoot this please?

Regards
Adam

Did you confirm that the device see that it us a member of the sec group before the heartbeat discovery is run? Have you confirmed that the data is returned to ConfigMgr?
That information is coming for heartbeat discovery and relies on the device to return the details to ConfigMgr. Add a device to the sec group, then reboot the device so that it knows it is a member of the sec group. After that trigger the heartbeat discovery. A few minutes after that you will see the sec group so that you can use it within the query.

Hello,
Yes I did confirm that it was a member prior to running the heartbeat discovery, I'm not sure about it being returned to configmgr are you able to explain how I would do this?

Sorry scratch that, I have it working. After adding a device to the security group i still was not seeing anything but did notice one of the drives on the server was getting pretty full >150GB of storage, cleaned up the drive and have +450GB of storage and security groups started populating for my query.

Thank you again Garth you have been amazing support.

Regards
Adam
