SOLVED task sequence: inaccessible boot device after instal mecm client task

Hi,

I have a Dell Precision 5820 i'm trying to deploy Windows 11 23H2 to.

my task sequence seems to run fine .. formats disk 0, applies windows 11 image, installs drivers, but when it gets up to a task to install the MECM client it reboots and then blue screens saying "inaccessible boot device". The package was the one selected by the create task sequence wizard.

Not sure what the problem is.

What does smsts.log say?

I worked it out - i'd installed the intel vroc drivers into the boot image but not into the windows install image. This meant that when it rebooted it tried to launch into the OS but couldnt see the disk.
