The issue with DP: Driver packages keep failing to Distribute to DP, Due to which the build fails. Getting this message.
Package Transfer Manager failed to update the package "FT000392", Version 4 on distribution point Srv-xyz . Review PkgXferMgr.log for more information about this failure.

Possible cause: Site server does not have sufficient rights to the source directory.
Solution: Verify that the site server computer account has at least Read access to the directory you specify as the source directory.

Possible cause: There is not enough disk space available on the distribution point.
Solution: Verify that there is enough free disk space available on the distribution point.

To clarify, correct permissions are in place and there is enough space on the distribution point. Additionally, there are instances where the distribution is successful.

I face the same issue here. Monitoring log message is like that. But there isn't any right or disk space issue. I prioritize the packages on Distribution Point Job Queue Manager and they get replicated once I move them to top. But not all of them I see the packages progress come to 50% or 99% and got failed. Then it retries several times in this loop. There are also succesful ones. @Prajwal Desai it has been a month and microsoft engineers can not find a solution. I see that you are the expert of experts. Could you help about this ?

Apart from the possible solutions, have you ensured the content distribution to DP is blocked using security software such as a firewall? Uploading the logs might help here.

Thank you for your response. The antivirus and firewall were disabled, but I'm still encountering the same issue. Interestingly, if I leave it running overnight, I sometimes find the packages have been transferred by the next morning.

Based on what you have said, I am guessing this is a firewall or network issue rather than a configuration manager issue. You will need to examine the DP logs to determine why the content transfer is failing and whether there are any errors.

Hi Prajwal, which logs should be checked as I am experiencing the same issue, where if I remove the Driver/Package and completely re-do the Driver/Package it will distribute but if I have one that has failed and ask for it to be redistributed it fails with the usual error etc., can you help please
