A few users have informed me they haven’t yet received the latest 'application' deployment, so after digging, I can see why, but don’t quite understand why…
The Application we pushed, is targeting a device collection which is based upon a WMI query to pull back the chassis types. I’ve had the users do local WMIC queries, and the chassis type does match those in the collection. So my conclusion, is that they’re not fully communicating with SCCM…
Using a single device as an example;
-All Systems (default SCCM group)
-All Sheffield Devices (Based on the above, with a sub query based on OU existence, if it’s in the OU, it’s in here!)
-All Sheffield Laptops (Query based on the above, but looking for specific chassis types; 8 , 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 18, 21)
This suggested it wasn’t reporting back it’s chassis type…
So I took another approach;
-All Systems (default SCCM group)
-All Dell Hardware (Based on the above, with a sub query based on Manufacturer being %Dell%)
My question is, which of the many logs (and locations) should I really begin to look at?
Cheers,
James
